Seriously…. what the fuck?!?!
……
If that’s what you’re asking, well, I’ll give you a bit of an answer here.
I make zines, or maybe more appropriately, I write fractured, fragmented, often illegible bits of… poetry(?… you may have a better grasp on what to call it than I do)…. and then I format them into zines.
Much of my writing does have a bit of theme, in an overall sense, I’m tracking and embodying something through my writing, hoping it translates not as an explanation but in affect.
Maybe you recognize it, maybe you don’t.
Either way, if you enjoy my writing here, feel free to download it, upload it, print it, share it, scatter it.
If you don’t?
Still free to do the same.
Light it on fire. Flush it down the toilet. Shred it into bits and… use it for your rodent cage?
Idk… you do you!

Tips on Printing
Honestly? I’m quite the amateur. Hopefully you already know what to do with zines better than I do.
But if not, here’s some tips.
All of my PDFs (at least thus far) are printed on regular sized, 8.5″ x 11″ paper.
I have found better results with a multi-purpose 24lb weight paper (normally multi-purpose paper is 20lb/thinner – and there is more bleed-through). Heavier paper may work even better, but normal paper will be fine too.
If there is more than one page in a PDF, it’s intended to be printed on the back side. I print them myself by “flipping on the short edge” (check your printer settings).
Many of my zines are simple 1/2 or 1/3 pages. Print, cut straight across, and staple in the middle.
If you end up printing lots of zines, a long reach stapler makes things easier. But I started without one, using a chunk of cardboard and then pushing the staple prongs down with a box knife handle.
Similarly, a guillotine or rotary paper cutter makes things a bit easier, but is unnecessary.
But what about the minis?
At this time, all of my minis are the simple “8 page zine fold”. You can find a litany of resources to figure out how to fold and cut them. Some are double-sided, some aren’t.
Either way the technique remains the same. Half-fold “hamburger wise”, cut half way across from the center. Fold down in half. Fold in half again cut edge to uncut edge. Folding in one direction, then in the opposite direction helps me, especially on the double-sided ones.
Unfold, and you should have a cut that spans two of the pages on each side in the middle. Pull that fold on each side away from the center, and then… kinda like an accordion from there. I try to include page numbers on the minis, so hopefully that helps.
You’re better off looking for visual diagrams somewhere else, if you aren’t sure!

But…. WHY the fuck?!?!
….
Y’know…. good question.
I’ve written a number of reasons why I started this.
If you look close enough, you might find some of the answers in my writing itself.
Or maybe you don’t.
Or maybe the reason changes all the time.
Or maybe there’s not much of a reason at all.
But they’re here, in case anyone finds something in them, and they’re free, because… well…
Fuck Capitalism.
